For Valentine’s Day I am relying on Mooka to do what she does best: spread pure, unadulterated love. She has never met a person she does not want to give numerous kisses. We call her “aggressively affectionate.” Once she gets going, she will knock off any hat or glasses you are wearing, and if you’re holding a beverage, she’ll knock that out of your hands too. We can try and keep her from doing this if you really hate dogs, but it makes her gag when you pull on her collar that hard.
In this slideshow, Popsey is demonstrating one of the most important defensive techniques if you are ever confronted with Mooka’s lick attack. Keep your mouth tightly shut! If you really can’t stand it anymore, go on the offensive. She is very submissive, and if she senses you’re the aggressor in the situation, she’ll “flump” onto her back for a belly scratch instead. Also, remember to moisturize afterwards.

That looks a lot like the ground around here...minus the snow. We've almost gotten used to it, but it's terrible. We had some major rain around here which slowed down the trapping. We hoped they were drowning. But then yesterday Popsey caught one, so he's back at it. He's taken to laying some torn up fruit tree prunings over the trap and thinks that helps attract the little buggers.
