It's time to pick the fruit, called "tuna" in Spanish, but I can't bring myself to be the one to break the heart.
They need to be picked with tongs and handled very carefully. I found a recipe for prickly pear jam which I might try.
My apologies for being away for so long. I've been under a major work crunch. I will return.
Meanwhile, check out Suburban Turmoil's worst baby name contest. What fun! Very hard to choose the best out of that list. "Buffany" is one of my favorites. (Sorry if your name is Buffany...really sorry).
